FIBA Basketball...It's FAAAAAN-TASTIC!

A few points to make about the FIBA tournament and such in Las Vegas...

1) Mike Miller can pretty much hit whatever shot he gets. Who knows how many he'll actually get, but he's a reasonable lock to hit it.

2) The longer shot clock allows Bill Walton to veer further off course in his ramblings. Somehow, somewhere in the 3rd period, he segued from the Beijing Games to the importance of clean air and water. John Saunders was not amused.

3) Tiago Splitter is going to be really, really good in the NBA. Of course, he's getting schooled fairly regularly by Amare Stoudamire, Dwight Howard and Tyson Chandler, but he's also holding his own and even came up with an impressive block against Amare. Another year or two in Europe and he'll be a solid contributer in the NBA.
